The LaCie 2Big USB 3.0 RAID Drive Is Massive And Damn Fast – Techfemina

So you thought your USB drive was big and fast? Then, what would you say to the one with 4TB storage capacity and 275MB/s transfer speed? Baby, that’s huge! It’s a new LaCie 2Big RAID drive, which uses the much-in-talks, new USB 3.0 connectivity standard. Developed in partnership with Symwave, the dual drive derives such a massive speed from dual SATA and RAID bridge controller developed by Symwave. All you’d need is to get a USB 3.0 motherboard or PCI-E card, in order to use the RAID drive. For more detailed specifications or pricing information, you’ll have to wait till “early 2010″ that’s when Lacie plans to release it.
