Scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM in Munich have been intensely working to turn the “smart plastics” project into reality. The plastic chips could help heart patients analyze the risk of blood clots in legs before they venture for a long distance flight. They’ve designed it as a stylish wrist band or a small blood lab that can be carried into your packet, and which has a sensor to measure electric smog that alerts pacemaker patients of any risk.
