The prototype Qualcomm’s vibrant e-reader based on intriguing butterfly technology to display vivid colors, is now set to release by the early fall of this year. The Qualcomm Mirasol e-reader delivers an excellent color display, a feature which has been missing in most of the e-readers. Using new display technology, precisely called IMOD (interferometric modulation), it’s able to produce extremely low-power, highly reflective screen that can even be read easily in the direct sunlight. Besides, the Mirasol also promises to display video content at 15 frames per second, which is pretty good for an e-reader. There’s no price info yet.
